[Not having mysteriously vanished from the ship in the last few millicycles, when Rinzler can turns out to be immediately. Especially for Miller. He's listened to the public announcements, heard the admins' estimation of where their missing crew ended up. It sounds bad.]

One thing that concerns me is that there are a number of hostiles down there that must be dealt with stealthfully and left alive. Anyone that's not crew can be considered potentially dangerous and untrustworthy.

The MIDs give target locations but not enemy locations.

[As he's pretty sure Miller knows already. The simulation room wasn't quite equipped for all nonhuman senses, and Rinzler rarely picks up anything but the code of the projections when he attempts scans there. But he's shown the user those functions in other contexts.

The ship is still prone. If enough people are angry they might unite for attack. Common interest. It can also facilitate the extraction of information.

"Alive" is preferable more than a necessity. Dispose of any bodies should anyone be killed. There are parties down there will be willing to assist you if compensated, if you're unable to do it yourselves.

[Rinzler's pretty sure people can't get angry at you if they're dead. Especially if no one knows who killed them. The need for information, he accepts, but unless these users miraculously have disks, Rinzler's not well suited to interrogation anyway.]
